CMMS Implementation & Support Consultant

Location:

• * Boston, MA vicinity

Desired experience:

• * CMMS Training / Consulting experience.
• * Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
• * Prior experience in a facility maintenance related field required.

Typical activities include:

• * Ensures all customer support issues are resolved promptly.
• * Acts as liaison with all offices to develop and research new hardware and software products.
  * Manages technical customer support on computer tracking system daily.
  * Sets up and configures customer hardware according to specifications desired, tunes operating systems and loads application software in computer.
  * Assists on technical support issues and conducts customer product training when necessary.
  * Communicates all design problems and "bugs" to the correct areas within the organization.
  * Collaborates with OEM's and potential customers to ensure any customized requirements are fully understood, documented and communicated to the appropriate areas for action.
  * Trains customers on hardware and software use.
  * Maintains customer contact via telephone to assure the smooth operation of systems installed.
  * Directs any customer requests, inquiries and/or concerns to appropriate individual(s) as needed.
  * Communicates status of accounts on a regular basis
  * Maintains current knowledge levels on existing products and/or acquires knowledge on merging technology and products.
  * Directs the development and implementation of technical training and support, which are to be used uniformly throughout the company.
  * Troubleshoots and analyzes system/database requirements and resources to develop custom applications programs and updates, and provides support to satisfy end user requests.
  * Performs database conversions and follow up on an ongoing basis.
  * Develops time and expense estimates to fulfill custom user requests.  Identifies system needs regarding additions, deletions or enhancements and makse recommendations for new or improved technology at the lowest cost.
  * Coordinates to move programs and systems from test to production status.
  * Provides technical support, hardware/software installation and service as needed.
  * Manages all direct and indirect vendor communication for the company's and clients' needs.
  * Promotes and sells manufacturers/vendors products and software through good customer service and sales techniques.
  * Oversees scheduled maintenance on appropriate computer hardware to keep all system equipment clean and safe.
  * Interface directly with clients to resolve problems.
  * Maintain ongoing contact with sales staff and clients to receive feedback regarding all aspects of work flow such as shipment dates, special needs, product updates, feasible improvements and problems.
  * Performs other related duties as assigned.
